IIR - Business Continuity Forum 2006

Dear Tim,

I would like to express my thanks to you for participating at the Business Continuity Forum that was held in Sydney back in February.

The BC Forum 2006 was a resounding success thanks to the involvement of you and your peers. I'm sure you will agree that the attendance was both strong in numbers and active in participation.  Delegates were asked to comment on each of the sessions and the overall conference.  I have been encouraged by the positive feedback for all speakers and, in turn, the forum itself.

When asked what aspects they enjoyed most about the conference, responses included:

  • Up to date material - qualified speakers
  • Filled a number of knowledge gaps
  • Linking Insurance with BC
  • Presenters were knowledgeable and presented interesting talks / discussion
  • Highlighted how various organizations address bc and their strategies
  • New topics that are very relevant were covered
  • Critical Business Infrastructure insights
  • Relevant topics and invaluable networking
  • The Real Life War Stories
  • Industry Roundtables

The general consensus was that Pandemic Planning would be the most significant issue in the next 6-12 months.

The feedback for your session was also positive:

Content: 40% excellent and 60% good
Presentation: 50% excellent 35% good and 15% satisfactory

Comments included:

  • Move session to an earlier part of the day
  • Clear thinking transferred well
  • Needed more time - very interesting topic
  • Rushed - too much info

Thank you for your involvement with the BC Forum - it was a pleasure to meet you.  I do hope you are able to participate in the BC Forum 2007...please keep in me informed with the latest issues.

I would also be interested in obtaining your feedback on the forum and ways in which we can improve
